At three years old Rosa is growing into a real beauty. Adding to her numerous wins the last couple years is the Res. Sr. Champion Mare, at the Bit of Wales Show in Ladysmith, WI. in mid May this year.
She has been awarded 4th Place in the North Central Region for 2007 in the WPCSA Carriage Driving.
Recently we traveled a short distance down the road to the Dallas Saddle Club show at the local fairgrounds for a halter class. In a class of 19 mares, Rosa was placed 2nd! All of the entry were Quarter horses, Paints or Buckskins; she was the only non-Stock type in the class!
She wil be attending some other Welsh shows later on in the summer and her first carriage show in September at Villa Louis in Prairie du Chien, WI.
We just couldn't resist!
Before sending many parts of the new (to us) antique trap out for repairs, reupholstery, and painting, we had to drive it just once.
Here Frankie takes a tour around the farm with it on a sunny day in May.
Frankie will be showing at a Shetland show over the 4th of July weekend in Winona, MN.
He has been awarded ASPC National Top Ten ---5th place in both Carriage Driving and Formal Driving to a Wooden Wheeled Vehicle.
